Lifelong Online Violin Education

General Information

Lifelong Online Violin Education for Primary, Middle, Advanced and Professional Stage of Violin Performance, implements academic programs, and individual study plans, in online tuition and digital examinations.


Academy organizes virtual sessions based on a fixed weekly schedule. Format of Training is a Directed Individual Study.


Examination or certification recommended after 60-hours of lesson attendance per level- the year of study. Admission opened twice a year. Minimum preparation time requires two months of training upon application. A repertoire for the exam is regulated by the examination board. The current provider of digitalized music exams is the London College of Music & ABRSM.


Hobby classes are following regular official programs of violin education without an obligation to access any of the examinations.
No student age limitations for both academic formal and hobby informal studies. 


Learning outcomes:

  • Remembering music repertoire, exercises, etudes and pieces
  • Understanding music language, notation, articulation, fingering
  • Applying technical skills and musical expression
  • Analyzing music styles, forms, phrases and sentences
  • Evaluating the intonation, rhythm accuracy and ability to perform in an ensemble 
  • Creating concert presentations and artistic performance


Lesson purpose: 

  • Learn from scratch
  • Play a new composition
  • Improve your skills


Recommended age: 

  • children with parental assistance,
  • teenagers over 13 years old, 
  • adults 18 - 38 years old.


Study requirements: 

  • attend the course sessions accordingly to the booked timings
  • learn from the method books, exam books, digital workbooks and audio sources
  • complete program assignments for violin and music theory
  • practise out-of-class on a daily basis
  • take the examinations or assessments once per year


Teacher Responsibility:

  • Planning and preparing lessons in relation to student's needs and examination syllabuses
  • Acquiring appropriate teaching materials and resources ensuring up-to-date knowledge and awareness of lesson requirements.
  • Teaching music theory, developing aural skills and practical techniques to students preparing for the examinations
  • Motivating the student and encouraging continuous progress
  • Assessing student's abilities, providing feedback and writing reports
  • Assisting students for recitals, concerts, exams and auditions.

  • Bow divisions: Lower, middle and upper half.
  • Rhythm values: Rests
  • Pick-up notes and repeat signs
  •  G-Major scale notes, exercises.


  •  Slurs and ties.
  • Tempos: Andante, Moderato, Allegro.
  •  Dynamics: f, mf and p.
  •  C-Major scale notes and exercises.

Essential

Level 2

  • Rhythm study: Dotted quarter note
  • Eighth note and Rest, Syncopation
  • Rhythm study: Triplet
  • A-Major scale. Trainer

  • Rhythm: Sixteenth Notes. Piece

  • Pieces: Song and piece of contrasting characters
  • Big form: Movement from Concerto or Concertino. Sonatine. Variations  

Mid-Intermediate

Level 5

 

  • Scales: Major & Minor scales in IV, V, VI position. Shifting
  • Etudes: Mazas, Schradieck, Sevcik, Dont, Sitt, Kayser
  • Pieces: Song and piece of contrasting characters
  • Large form: Movement from Concerto or Concertino. Sonatine. Variations 

High Intermediate

Level 6

 

  • Scales; Major & Minor through three octaves, Gregorian
  • Arpeggios: Dominant and diminished in two octaves
  • Etudes: Kreutzer, Mazas, Schraedick, Sevcik, Dont, Sitt, 
  • Pieces: Song and piece of contrasting characters
  • Large form: Movement from Concerto or Concertino. Sonatine. Variations  description about this item
